Questions before launch
Does it need batteries or a power cord?
9spaceX team: No. Mova says the globe runs without batteries or cords. Hidden solar cells inside use ambient light for power.
Does it need direct sunlight?
9spaceX team: Mova states the solar cells use ambient natural or artificial light, so ordinary room light is the intended source.
What makes it turn?
9spaceX team: Mova says the earth's magnetic field provides the torque, and the globe rotates within its clear outer shell.
Where does the map come from?
9spaceX team: The map uses high-resolution NASA satellite imagery, according to Mova.
What sizes does Mova make?
9spaceX team: Mova lists three sizes: Classic at 4.5 in, Signature at 6 in and Prestige at 8.5 in diameter.
Is it an AI or smart device?
9spaceX team: No. It has no app, no connectivity and no AI. It is a light-powered display globe.
Do I pay anything to register?
9spaceX team: No. Registering takes only your email. You pay only if you order once the launch opens.
When will you email me?
9spaceX team: The day before it opens and the moment it opens, with the launch price. Nothing else, and you can unsubscribe any time.
What if the campaign misses its goal?
9spaceX team: If a campaign misses its goal, we extend it or cover the balance so it still ships. If we can't ship it, every order is refunded in full. Until production starts you can also cancel for free.

A globe that turns on room light
The MOVA Earth with Clouds globe keeps turning with no cord and no batteries. Hidden solar cells take power from ordinary room light or daylight, and MOVA says the earth's magnetic field supplies the torque that keeps it rotating inside its clear outer shell.
MOVA, founded in 2003 and based in Los Angeles, assembles its globes by hand and gives each one a one-year warranty against defects.
It is on our Coming soon list. Orders are not open on 9spaceX yet, and there is no 9spaceX price or date.

Construction of the Earth with Clouds Globe
The MOVA Globe is crafted from the finest materials, including two polished polymer hemisphere shells interlocked with one another. The outer sphere encloses the inner rotating globe, suspended in a non-toxic fluid, allowing smooth and free rotation.
The globe measures 4.5 inches in diameter—slightly larger than a baseball—and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The MOVA Globe comes with a three-pronged acrylic stand that is easy to assemble, along with an instruction manual. Once the stand is assembled, the total height of the globe is 18.5 cm, weighing approximately 1.81 kg. The stand is made of acrylic, ensuring safety and durability.
How the Earth with Clouds Globe Works
The globe can rotate continuously without batteries, electricity, or any manual force, thanks to an internal mechanism that includes solar panels, powerful magnets, and other components.
The fluid between the two hemispheres creates a frictionless environment, allowing the globe to rotate effortlessly. This gives the sensation of the globe spinning magically without any external intervention.
WHY THE MOVA GLOBE ROTATES CONTINUOUSLY
The MOVA Globe uses solar energy technology to rotate automatically without batteries or charging cables. Hidden solar panels inside are powered by ambient light, while the Earth's magnetic field generates the force to move the globe. These elements work seamlessly together, creating a "whisper-quiet" mechanism that allows the globe to spin freely inside its transparent outer shell.
Each globe is a delicate fusion of vivid artistry and advanced technology. Every product is assembled with high precision, making the inner and outer layers feel like a unified whole.
