How it works

Nothing hidden. Nothing faked.

Most shops show the motion and hide the mechanism. We show both. Wheels, belts, wires and pins do all the work, and you can see most of them from the outside.

Close view of a round metal button on the wood top of the box, the slim rod rising beside it with the pig's belly above and tiny pins in the wood.

External gear base: a yellow gear wheel and cranks sit outside the wooden box, with thin wires rising to the manta ray.

Beyond my expectations! This is one of the most beautiful and unique things I’ve ever seen. People kept asking me where I got it from! P.S. I would absolutely love to buy one featuring a hammerhead shark! 🦈

This order was a risk, but it turned out to be a gorgeous, magical addition to our living room. My new favorite thing. It’s beautifully made, just exquisite really. Thank you!!!

★★★★
The manta ray is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing to watch! I rated 4/5 stars just because the price is very high and unfortunately the manta ray I got is not nearly as dark as the ones in the ad. This was disappointing and it bothers me enough I will probably stain the wood myself so it’s darker.
