What it is
The Yeelight Screen Light Bar Pro sits on top of a monitor and lights the desk in front of it. We list the Pro Limited Edition in our Showcase. This review reads its published specs against the lighting advice in OSHA's computer workstation guide. It is not a lab test.
The light
Yeelight describes an asymmetrical front lighting design with a lamp cover, a high-precision optical lens and a photomask, all meant to stop the bar's own light from reflecting on the screen.
That is what OSHA asks of any desk light: place task lighting so it does not reflect on the screen, and use lamps with shields or shades that direct light away from your line of sight.
The numbers
- Rated power: 10W
- Lamp body: 23.0 mm across, 485.5 mm long
- Control knob: 66.5 mm across, 34.0 mm tall
- Input listed: 100–240V, 50 or 60Hz, 0.3A
Control sits on a separate multi-mode knob on the desk: brightness up and down, on and off, and mode changes. Yeelight lists four modes for work and play, with an Office mode one click away.
What the listing leaves open
We do not have confirmed lux, colour temperature or CRI figures for this edition, so we do not quote any here. If those numbers matter to you, ask us before you vote for it in Showcase.
