FAQ
How much power can USB-C carry?
USB Power Delivery was limited to 100W, over 20V and USB-C cables rated at 5A, until Revision 3.1 added 28V, 36V and 48V levels for 140W, 180W and 240W.
Does a 65W charger give 65W to every port?
No. 65W is the total across the ports, so a laptop and a phone share it when both are plugged in.
Can one cable drive several monitors from my laptop?
It depends on the laptop's USB-C port. Docks that drive several screens need a host port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, so check your laptop before you plan three screens.
