DisplayPort Alt Mode
A USB-C mode that carries a DisplayPort video signal, so one USB-C port can drive a monitor.
A dock that drives several monitors from one cable needs the laptop's USB-C port to support DisplayPort Alt Mode. Check your laptop's port before you plan a multi-screen desk.
